Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 16, 2026

BandMonkey LLC operates BandMonkey and bandmonkey.com. This policy explains how we handle information when you browse the site, contact us, or sign up for Banana Pit emails.

Information we collect

  • Messages: your name, email address, inquiry type, message, and any artist details or links you choose to share.
  • Banana Pit signup: your first name, email address, selected music genre, and signup consent.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, pages visited, and request or submission times. Our hosting, security, forms, and measurement services process this information to operate and understand the site.

Form submissions and related technical details are stored in our website database and may also be delivered to our email inbox. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information through our forms.

How we use information

We use information to answer inquiries, review artist and press submissions, send the updates you request, understand which content interests visitors, maintain the website, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Sending us a general inquiry does not sign you up for marketing emails.

Banana Pit emails

When you opt in, we use your signup details to send BandMonkey content and label updates. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using an unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. We may retain a limited record of your opt-out so we can respect it.

Cookies and measurement

The site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure visits and interactions. These services may use cookies or similar identifiers and process information about your browser, device, approximate location, and use of the site. Google explains its handling of information in its Privacy Policy.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies or third-party requests may affect some features. Cookies used for login, security, and preferences can be necessary for those functions.

Videos and external services

Some pages load YouTube’s embedded player in privacy-enhanced mode. Loading the player connects your browser to Google, even before you choose to play. Google may receive technical information and process viewing activity when you use the player. Privacy-enhanced mode does not make the connection anonymous; see YouTube’s explanation.

Spotify, Apple Music, social profiles, and other external links take you to independently operated services. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Sharing and storage

Information may be processed by providers supporting our hosting, security, email, and measurement services, and by people authorized to manage BandMonkey communications. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, prevent fraud, or address security incidents. Providers may process information in countries other than where you live.

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including correspondence, subscriber preferences, security, and legal obligations. Retention depends on the information and our relationship with you. A deletion request may be subject to necessary legal or security exceptions and the normal expiry of backup copies. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can ask about the information we hold about you, request access or correction, ask us to delete it, or withdraw email consent through our contact page. Use “Privacy request” in your message. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including rights to object to or restrict processing, receive a copy of your information, or complain to your local privacy authority.

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes and contact

We will post changes to this policy here and update the date above. For privacy questions or requests, contact BandMonkey LLC.
