Shinedown, Staind and Alter Bridge meant more than familiar names on a tour poster to Brad Arnold. After enough time on the road, they felt like family.
In this 2005 interview from Toledo, the 3 Doors Down frontman remembers the friendships that came out of touring with all three bands. Different tours, different backstage rooms, and the same feeling when everyone got together.
“A big, big family.”
Brad recalls having a lot of fun with Shinedown and Alter Bridge. Staind had been on the tour 3 Doors Down had just finished, and he says they had a good time with those guys too.
It was the Seventeen Days era for 3 Doors Down. Their October 26, 2005 show at Toledo Sports Arena included “Kryptonite,” “Let Me Go,” “Here Without You” and “When I’m Gone,” with Shinedown also on the bill.
BandMonkey heard “extended family” and headed for the catering table extension. Apparently, a backstage pass still did not make the fruit tray his property.
